We Overcome By The Word of Our Testimony!

The other day when I was on a walk, I started reflecting on the amazing testimonies people have shared about how God has transformed their life. Whether it be about how God has helped people overcome in the area of weight related strongholds, eating disorders, or poor self image…I have recieved so many wonderful praise reports oh how God has taken the ‘ashes’ of peoples lives and turned it into ‘beauty’. (Isaiah 61:3)

It was during this walk that I felt the Lord prompt me to have people share their testimonies on Dashing Dish, as a way to encourage others that they too can and will overcome whatever it is they are facing with the Lord’s help. I believe this is SO powerful for many reasons, but if nothing else, every time we share our testimony something powerful happens…The bible says that when we share what the Lord has done in our lives, that we “Overcome satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.” (Revelation 12:11)

After praying about it, I would love it if you shared your testimony with me via e-mail about how God has touched your life in the area of weight related issues, eating disorders, self image issues, or how He has given you guidance and strength to live a healthy lifestyle for you and your family. I will then share them on Dashing Dish (with your permission of course), as a way of blessing and encouraging others with the good news of what the Lord has done!

Please note that these testimonies don’t have to include your name, (unless you desire them too), and they don’t have to be long! Also, they can, but certainly don’t have to relate to Dashing Dish…It is purely all about how the Lord has helped you overcome weight, eating, and self-image related battles!

What can be Found in the Dashing Dish Pantry?

You may have noticed that Dashing Dish recipes are unique and different from almost any other recipe. What makes them different is that I create each recipe based on my personal philosophy of cooking…It has to be simple, healthy, and use ingredients that are already in your pantry.

The recipes on this website are one of a kind in that there is no added sugar, butter, or flour in any of them. In fact, the majority of my recipes are gluten free, sugar free, whole grain recipes that are high in fiber and protein. All of these components have been proven to keep you satisfied and help you reach and maintain a healthy weight for life!

Most of my recipes are listed as  ‘Clean Eating’, which simply means that I use foods in their most natural state, and don’t include any processed ingredients. One example of this is that I use whole grain oats in my baked goods rather than white or whole wheat flour, (which is essentially a whole grain that has beens stripped of it’s nutrition in a factory).

Here’s What You Will Find in My Pantry, and in Dashing Dish Recipes:

  • Protein Sources: Chicken, Turkey, Fish, Egg Whites, Greek Yogurt, Cottage Cheese, Protein Powder
  • Veggies: Broccoli, Cauliflower, Zucchini, Squash, Green Beans, Onions, Sweet Potatoes
  • Fruit: Strawberries, Apples, Blueberries, Bananas
  • Whole Grain Sources: Old Fashioned Oats, High Fiber Pasta, High Fiber Wrap Bread, Ezekiel or Whole Grain Bread
  • Healthy Fat Sources: Avocado, Nuts, Nut Butters
  • Sweeteners: Stevia, Honey, Agave, (I also always give an option and measurement to use sweetener of choice that measures like sugar)

My number one goal is that my recipes are not only enjoyable to your palate, but to your whole body as well! Hope you enjoy!

I am excited to share that the New Month Two Meal Plan is now available! This meal plan has the same general layout as month one, which features a whole new month of new recipes, (there are even some of the best membership recipes included!) This meal plan is available for one, two, and four people in the form of individual weeks, and a complete month!

Month two can be found by clicking on the meal plan of your choice, and clicking on the drop down month two.

After doing a poll on month one meal plans, I made a few modifications on these! They have no leftovers or dinners out, and are filled all my favorite ‘clean’ and delicious Dashing Dish Recipes plus never before seen recipes!

Hey everyone! I pray everyone is having a blessed week so far! I am finally feeling ‘settled’ in after our big move, so I thought I’d share some of the photos of our rental home, and tell you the crazy story behind this move!

Here is a picture of our one bedroom apartment that we have lived in for the past three years! It was hard to say goodbye, as it was our very first place as a married couple, but I knew it would be so nice to have more space! (It was getting to the point where I was running out of places to ‘hide’ things. I even had food stored in my laundry room!)

Dashing Dish 30 Day Devotional

The Dashing 30 Day Devotional was something that was on my heart to write for a long time. It all began one day when I was taking a walk, listening to a Christian book on my iPod. I began to think about how God had used books, sermon series, study guides, and devotionals so many times throughout my life to get me rooted in the truth in certain areas.

Suddenly, and idea came to me…I should write out a 30 day devotional using the truths that God has shown me over the years. As I sat down to write, I suddenly became flooded with a desire to go through my journal entries. These were the very truths that have set me free over the years when God was leading to me to a place of freedom in the area of my weight, my eating habits, and most importantly, my complete surrender to Him. As He began to reveal His higher purpose for me during this time in my life, I began to relinquish control, along with my fears, doubts, and anxieties about my weight.

I believe the Lord had me write the 30 day devotional as a way to bring revelation of His love, His freedom, and His victory that He has provided for each one of His daughters in the area of weight and true beauty!
