Just wanted to say that I love your website! I too have struggled with starving and binging my whole life, trying to erase the damage with constant exercise, and getting to the point where I was afraid of food. Meaning, I afraid to eat or cook anything that I truly enjoyed because I was afraid of liking it too much and over eating. Now I am tying to learn how to make the things I love in a healthy way, not depriving myself, and eating healthy portions.

Your recipes are great, in that they aren’t just “low fat” with a ton of other unhealthy ingredients, or “low sugar” but very high fat. The recipes are healthy and full of protein. Being that I am a regular in the gym and focus highly on weight training, getting plenty of nutrients in my meals is really important. This site provides super yummy ways to do that!

Recently, my husband had to do a drastic diet to help him lose weight quickly and get off insulin. He’s done so well, and I’m so proud of him. He’s lost quite a bit of weight, and even though he will always be diabetic, his medicine intake has been dramatically decreased. He’s slowly being allowed to eat normal meals again. Of course, by normal, I mean small amounts of lean meat, very little carbs and lots of veggies, which were never his favorites.

I can’t tell you what a blessing your website has been to us as a family. I’ve found a variety of recipes that fit into what he can have. He has really enjoyed them – even zucchini fritters, which I couldn’t have paid him to eat before his diet. In his words, “When you can’t really eat anything for so long, everything is better…even vegetables!” :) I love trying out new things, and I have to say that the individual desserts are some of my favorite things on your site. Yeah, portion control!! Also, I’m trying to teach my 11 year old daughter to be a healthy eater – not a dieter. With your recipes, we are all able to enjoy food and be healthy eaters at the same time.

I appreciate you so much already and have told many others about you already. My mom said, “Well, it’s a lot healthier than we eat, but some of it looks good.” I’ll bring her around yet! I lead a cooking group/Bible study here in The Netherlands, so you should know that your recipes will be internationally known. :)

I want to start out by saying what an encouragement you are. my husband and I started clean eating about a month ago. I have a very long story about what the Lord has shown me through obedience and treating my temple the way HE wants us to treat it. I have a lot of people stop me and work, send e-mails and even txt to see what my secret is. The secret…I don’t diet. I simply eat clean and exercise. Your recipes have made it onto my kitchen table a lot lately.

I lost over 100lbs and all the glory goes to GOD. He taught me what it means to fully surrender to HIM through all that I do. HE tells us to be mindful of what we allow into our, eyes, our hearts, our minds…into our bodies. I feel we put a huge emphasis on the eyes, ears, etc. but how often do we say, “Those processed foods you are consuming are not wholesome and not pleasing to your temple.”? The Holy Spirit has really been working in my through these things. We need to give Christ control over all things. I am beyond blessed to share with you where the Lord has brought me.

Hi Katie, I’m sure you get a million of these notes, but I just wanted to let you know that I finally joined your site, and I am so excited about starting a new way of life. I’ve spent the last year or so dabbling in clean eating and cutting out sugar and flour, but as I get older, gain more weight (I’ve been overweight most of my life) and get unhealthier, I know it’s time to stop dabbling! My goal is to become a mom, either through adoption or naturally, if I finally meet Mr. Right, and I know that will never happen if I keep going like I’m going! I want to be a fun, healthy mom who teachers her kids to enjoy healthy foods, too, and I want to be around to see them grow up. I’ve been way too much of a fast food junkie for the last few years, and I’ve never been a great cook, but your recipes seem like something even I can do. After going through so many plans and ideas, I sat up half the night last night going through your website, and it just felt like something that hasn’t been there in the past clicked! I cried lots of happy tears and planned my entire grocery list for next week around your recipes. First off I wanted to drop you a note on a testimony from your website. Your meal plan and recipes have changed so much in my life. My husband who is a pretty picky eater has fallen all over himself by talking about how great your recipes are. We just love the cheesy cauliflower and the protein shakes just to name a couple. Might I even mention that our 6-year old son devoured the cauliflower without even asking what it was (which was miraculous in and of itself).

Hi Katie! I just wanted you to know we’re loving your recipes! We’re big “foodies” so a lot of times “diet-type” foods leave us quite frustrated, but you’ve done a good job of being quite creative and including lots of different flavors. We’ve been having fun adding our own combinations of herbs and spices to various things, and my husband, who was very skeptical when I told him we were going to try this meal plan for a month, said the other day, “I love that this actually lets you eat!”
