After announcing the winner of my Dashing Dish protein shake contest, I had many requests for the ‘runner-up’ recipes! Well…Thanks to two awesome DD fans, Michelle and Brandie, I received the runner up submissions for a banana split protein shake. I altered the recipe just a bit to my personal liking and thought I’d share it with all of you! This makes for a wonderfully creamy shake that tastes like you are eating dessert, for breakfast! Now that is my kind of breakfast…Way to go girls, thanks for sharing your wonderful idea for a DD shake flavor…It’s so good it’s almost too good to be true!
In all of my shakes I use DESIGNER WHEY 100% Premium Whey Protein Powder! It tastes awesome, is affordable, and is 100% natural!
This shake is PERFECT for a post-workout meal! The natural sugar from the fruit will restore much needed energy to refuel your body! Oh, and not to mention it's delicious and refreshing! :)

I tried this, and it turned out a kind of muddy pink, probably from the frozen strawberries. Delicious!

I hate cottage cheese and was very reluctant to try this recipe. I am drinking it right now and it is delish!!!! I drink protein shakes everyday and will incorporate cottage cheese in more shakes. You can’t even taste it. Thank you for all of the healthy recipes!!!! You’re the best ever!!!!

My 16 year old son saw the pic and insisted I make this for him. He loved it! Great way to get some extra protein in him. Thanks for the great recipe!

This looks amazing…and I would love to make it however, for me the calories are a bit high…could you substitute banana pudding or extract for the banana flavor? or sugar free strawberry jam for the strawberries? I may have to split it and share…thats no fun!
