When I’m in need of a quick and healthy meal on-the-go, I often go to Wendy’s for some of their rich and filling chili! It’s makes for a perfectly balanced meal, and is loaded with flavor…Which is hard to find at fast food restaurants! If you enjoy Wendy’s chili then I can promise you will LOVE this chili recipe! With a few simple swaps, I made it even healthier~ which means you get double the portion size for the same amount of calories!

Once again, a great recipe! :) I just love how the ingredients you tend to use are easy to find and buy whereas many other blogs I visit have so many recipes with crazy ingredients! Yours are simple easy and delicious!
Thanks for Sharing. Hope your Monday is wonderful!
P.S. do you know of any good post workout snack to eat after a 4 mile run in 35 mins?
Thanks
God bless
Angie

This has now become a staple in our household. I make it Saturday evening in the crockpot. I take out about 1/5, because one of my children doesnt eat meat, and then I add the turkey. It is perfect to come home to after church, and the house smells fantastic! Thank you so much, Katie!

If you use the ground turkey, do you need to cook it before putting it in the crockpot? Come fall, I can’t wait to make this recipe. It looks sooo good!

I just put everything in but I couldn’t fit in the 3rd bell pepper…it’s almost overflowing. I did add extra meat though because the boyfriend loves his chili “beefy” lol. Do I still do it on high for 4 hours or a bit longer since I put in extra meet? Can’t wait to gobble it up later!

Just put this together tonight to cook all day tomorrow:) I saw that it has 8 servings, but I was wondering how much is in one serving?
Thanks!

I don’t think you know me, I was in high school with Emily, but through her I found this amazing site! I have to say, this is wonderful! My husband and i both have really high metabolisms (his way faster than mine), so it’s really hard to find food that filling for him without being too heavy for me. We both love eating healthy too, so this is the perfect mix for us! God forbid, but if my computer ever crashes and I lose all my recipes, I now know right where to go…here!

Thanks Angie! :)
I would recommend anything with a balance of protein/complex carbs because you need to restore your glycogen stores that you depleted with your run! :)
so i would say like apple& pb for a snack, or greek yogurt with a few strawberries in it, or for a meal i like a protein shake after sweating! :)

hi sarah! as you can see the recipe makes a lot! :) so, i would say that a serving size is about 1-1 1/2 cups!

For this turkey chili for it to be 180 cals per serving, i would serve myself 1 cup? more or less? I’m a calorie counting nut lol
i love the protein muffins i make them on the weekends for the weekend for a snack between my meals :D
