Hey Melinda,

I love the recipes but I want to make it as fattening and high calorie as possible, what should I add?

I found a small envelope of xanthan gum at a larg nation-wide retailer in the gluten-free section (wasn't sure if I was allowed to mention names, but it does begin with a "W"). It was 48 cents. Haven't tried it yet but am really eager to do so.

Accidentally came across the site on Friday looking for something else. Tried a couple shake recipes over the weekend and could not wait to join to get members-only content! As a post-bariatric patient, the protein shakes were torture. Now I can add a yummy shake without forcing myself to gulp it down! Thanks for constructing such a wonderful site!! (P B and J is my favorite so far :))

I suggest using Jay Robb's Vanilla Egg White Protein powder if you don't like the soy or whey aftertaste. It makes a great creamy shake. I love these shake recipes! My favorite is the Pumpkin Pie one. Sometimes I trade a container of Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt for the cottage cheese and omit the sugar substitute, but either way it's delicious! With this great shake base recipe the sky is the limit with recipe ideas. I recently bought quite a few Torani and Davinci sugar free flavored syrups and have been playing around with recipes made with those. Chai is wonderful, as is Irish Cream with a little cocoa powder mixed in.

Such a yummy snack! I have made several of these and made up my own for the first time today, using your base. I made a chocolate covered cherry shake using frozen cherries (a handful- maybe a cup?) and chocolate protein powder, and a tablespoon of sugar free chocolate pudding. Next time I might use a different flavor pudding or more cherries, because I couldn't taste them very much.

I just wanted to say that I credit these shakes with my ability to stay on track with WW. I've been a snacker my entire life, and I've been having trouble breaking that habit. When I found Dashing Dish, and I saw these shakes, I just knew I'd been lead here. I blend one up in the morning just as I head out the door. It keeps the morning munchies at bay. And then, once I make it to lunch without needing anything other than a small piece of fruit, I know I can make it through the rest of my day.

Thank you Katie for sharing these with the world.
