Peach Cobbler Protein Shake

Here's the Dish

What’s better than having the flavors of peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream blended into a rich creamy shake!?! Peaches are everywhere this time of year, and this recipe is the perfect way to enjoy them! This shake makes a great meal replacement on a busy morning, or to re-fuel you after a workout! Now you can have your dessert in a glass for just over 200 calories, 3 grams of sugar, and 41 grams of protein per serving!

Method

The estimated total time to make this recipe is 5 minutes.

1

Put everything into a blender and blend until creamy consistency is reached! Top with a dash of cinnamon if desired, and Enjoy!

Ingredients

1/2 cupLow fat cottage cheese 1
1Scoop vanilla protein powder 2
1/2 cupPeaches (fresh, frozen, or canned)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tspButter extract (or vanilla extract)
2-4Stevia packets (or sweetener of choice to taste)
1/2-1 cupWater (Alter this according to desired consistency)
5-10Ice Cubes (Depending on how thick you like it, use less for a thinner consistency)
Optional:1/2 tsp xanthan gum 3

1 Cottage cheese may sound strange, but TRUST me… this is what makes the ‘MILKSHAKE’ consistency! Also, if you are sensitive to dairy, you can use tofu to get the same consistency!

2 I use Designer Whey Protein powder. It has 100 calories per scoop. I buy the vanilla flavor because it’s a good base to add whatever flavors you want to make. It is also all natural. You can buy it from Kroger, GNC, Trader Joe’s, Amazon, or Netrition.com.

3 You can get xanthan gum from most grocery stores in the gluten free section! Just a pinch of it makes your shake so thick and creamy!

Katie's Tip!

This shake is a great meal replacement on a busy morning, or as a post workout snack!

YEE-HA! I was going to have a pumpkin smoothie (delicious, btw) but I have fresh peaches in the house so why not enjoy them, while they are still around!? I can have pumpkin anytime! Thanks so so much for your recipes and tips!

I love that you have this in a mason jar. The other day I made one of your shakes in a mason jar and my friend laughed at me:( I’m glad you had the same thought that I did!

Today, I snuck in some kale (just a handful for some extra vitamins). The shake is SO good even with it.

This is yummy!! :)

I have a what may be a silly question- I’m a new to using protein powder. My 2 yr old always wants what I’m drinking. Is protein powder okay for toddlers or should I drink this in secret? ;) Also, just for future note, is protein powder safe for pregnant and nursing moms?? I got the suggested Designer Whey.
Thanks in advance!!! :)
