Pumpkin Pie Milkshake

Here's the Dish

If you’re like me and LOVE the taste of pumpkin during the fall season…Then you will LOVE my pumpkin pie milkshake! This ‘milkshake‘ tastes exactly like pumpkin pie in the form of a thick creamy shake! The cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and honey teddy graham’s (to resemble the ‘graham cracker’ pie crust), makes you feel like your eating an endless piece of pumpkin pie! This shake also has the added benefits of 30+ grams of protein, is high in fiber, and is low in sugar and simple carbohydrates!

Method

The estimated total time to make this recipe is 5-10 Minutes.

1

ONE SIMPLE STEP!  Put all the base ingredients in the blender PLUS the ingredients listed under the shake of your choice, and blend away until desired consistency! Top with crushed teddy grams if desired…and enjoy!!!!

Ingredients

1/2 cupLow fat cottage cheese
1Scoop plain or vanilla protein powder 1
1/2 cupPumpkin puree
1/2 tspPumpkin pie spice (or 1/8 tsp of nutmeg)
1/2 tspCinnamon
2-4 pktsStevia (or sweetener of choice to taste)
1/2 cupCold water 2
5-10Ice cubes 2
OptionalTopping: Crushed Honey Teddy Grahams

1 Use as many scoops of protein powder you need to meet your calorie/protein needs

Oh my! This is almost the exact “recipe” I’ve been using for the past month for my “pumpkin pie cheesecake-smoothies” – except I add about 2 tbsp or so of fat free cream cheese to give a a cheesecake flair (and I did not use Teddy Grahams or cool whip- but it sounds divine!) I am so addicted to these! I use unsweet vanilla almond breeze, vanilla stevia, Jay Robb vanilla protein nd one time I even used fat free ricotta cheese! But my favorite ones use cottage cheese or chobani plain Greek yogurt.
I am so glad to see a real recipe with measurements listed, as I always just guestimate!
Love your blog :)

“1 full tray of ice cubes” This may be a dumb question but how many is that? I have an ice maker in my refrigerator, hence no trays. But what I think of as a tray of cubes would be an awful lot to make only one glassful. This sounds like it would be wonderful. Can’t wait to try it!

I made this yesterday and it was SO good! Even my picky 10 year old thought it was delicious. I made it this morning with blueberries instead of pumpkin and it was equally as delicious. This will be my new go-to breakfast!

Just have to say how delicious this is! Oh my goodness! I used a small frozen banana in place of ice and added unsweetened vanilla almond milk in place of the water and it was just divine. Thanks for posting so many awesome variations of shakes. I’m working my way through each one. :)
