If you’ve ever been to Starbucks, then you most likely have heard of a frappuccino. Thick, blended, creamy coffee that is cool and refreshing…What’s not to love!?! Well, the only thing that might turn you off from this tantalizing treat might be the fact that just one blended coffee drink can pack on as many as 600 calories and 25 grams of fat (which is about the same as a Big Mac!) Try this lightened up version, (which also happens to pack a powerful protein punch) and you may never spend your money on another blended drink again.
To make a Mocha Frappuccino, just add 1-2 tbs of cocoa powder!

What kind of Stevia do you use?
Dashing Dish said:
I use NuStevia, which is less bitter than most brands. It doesn’t leave a bad aftertaste and tastes the most like real sugar. I buy NuStevia from Amazon. That’s the only place I’ve found that I can buy it in bulk for cheap. Otherwise, you can find it at GNC and Whole Foods. To Learn More About Stevia Click Here.

This is so good! I made it the other morning! Perfect to get me going in the morning and I loved that all that protein kept me full until lunch!! Making it tomorrow too but this time mocha style!!

I added Coconut jello pudding powder to this recipe and cocoa powder and made the Atarbucks Mocha Coconut Frap and it is delicious, better than dessert.

SUCH a great idea! That is my favorite Frap ever!

Thanks for all these recipes… I used an actual cup of coffee for this that I had made with my Keurig and substituted it for the instant coffee and the water, works just as well!

Thanks SO much for this! I will definitely try this since I’m so addicted to those Mickey D Frappes… but I cringe when I think of all the unknown inside + all those calories! Absolutely love that this is made with stevia, too!
Think I could just use Chocolate Protein Powder for the Mocha effect rather than Vanilla protein powder + cocoa powder??
Dashing Dish said:
sure can! :)

This looks delicious! I’m not sure what you mean by half and half coffee creamer though. Is that just regular half and half, or something else? Thanks.
Dashing Dish said:
regular :)

I just want you to know how much I enjoy your recipes. It’s nice to follow a blog where the host takes the time to answer our questions so quickly. I got the meal plan for a month. I really like. I thought it was for a family of four but only for two. My question. I’m feeding six, which means I have to triple. Does everything triple? Are there any ingredient that you would not triple. Maybe a spice. I know my question is about as clear as mud but hopefully you will understand. Thanks again. You are a true blessing.

OH.MY.GOODNESS!!! Just made this to have after my workout and it was AMAZING!!! So delicious, I can’t believe how good it is! SOOOOO Much better then my normal after-work-out- protein shake w/ protein powder and water. My Blend-Tec will NEVER be back in the cupboard, because I’ll be making these EVERYday!!! THANK YOU!!!!!! Your recipes make me feel like I’m cheating every meal!!

Tastes great! One question, though…does your protein powder also contain a lot of fiber, because when I calculated points plus for this recipe, assuming there is 0g fiber, I got 6wwp+…?

WOW! I love frappuccinos but I never get them (for all the obvious reasons). As soon as I found this site I went out and bought cottage cheese and vanilla protein powder, just so I could try this. Had it for breakfast and it was SO delicious! It’s also way bigger than my normal smoothies, so the low calories kept me full for a nice long time. Thanks so much! I’ll be trying lots of others.

I’ve made a lot of your recipes and loved them all but…I don’t know how you come up with your points! When I put mine in the recipe builder with the EXACT same ingredients mine are often 2 pts higher. I got double the points for this exact shake! I use exactly the same items that you did, so, I’m not sure. I read a lot of fans having the same issue. Just wanted to let you know! :)

i’m curious about this too!!!

Mine tastes very protein shaky, is there a trick or more of something to put in? I really want to like this drink.
Dashing Dish said:

I did :/

Made this a few days ago it was awesome!!! I just used a cup of coffee instead of the coffee powder. I made myself a cup, and gave each of my 2 kids 1/4 a cup and still had left over. I was able to make myself another full cup the next day. It tasted even better then it the day I made it! My kids have been begging me to make more every day since!

Hi Guys just to let you know you can buy fat-free- half and half and fat-free heavy cream, thus reducing fat!!

I made this today and it is so very good! I had some left-over coffee that I had made in my French Press, so I used that in place of the water and instant coffee. Thanks!

Can you use low fat greek yogurt or low fat ricotta cheese as a substitute for the cottage cheese?

Oh my this is soooo good! :) LOVE IT! Thanks for the recipes, makes my dieting so much easier to tolerate :) I can eat/drink things that taste like they should be bad for me, but they’re not! Thanks again!

I tried this, this morning. It was Okay, but I am wondering if there is a way to lessen the amount of bubbles. Every time I try to make any protein shakes it seems no matter what i put in there are always a lot of bubbles which makes it taste weird.
Dashing Dish said:
try adding less water so its more thick …that should eliminate all bubbles :)
Eva said:
i’ll try that. I only had a cup of water to begin with though. and that was the only liquid.
other than if some of the ice melted from being ground in the blender..

I have a bad habit of wasting money and calories on coffee drinks, so I though I’d try this recipe. I was a bit thrown off at first by the cottage cheese, but decided to give it a go. I used chocolate protein powder and white chocolate creamer because it was all I had on hand. It was delicious! So thick, smooth and creamy. Loved it! Thanks for the easy recipe! Can’t wait to make more of these, and I’ll definitely be trying some of your others in the future. (:

Omg this was heaven !!!!! I will defanately be adding this to
My morning routine :) this may seem weird to add yogurt to a frap
But I switched greek yogurt with the cottage cheese and it was great :)
Thank you so much for the fabulous recepie !!!
