Just wondering if lemon or lime juice will work instead of orange? Is the juice for flavour or for turning out the recipe? Thanks!

Katie

Loving all the great ideas you have. I want to try this with half the fat in the topping. I am thinking 2 T Smart Balance Light and the other half using one of these - applesauce/ pureed beets/ pumpkin / yogurt ...

Any thoughts or suggestions>

Thanks, Greg

I used xylitol as a replacement for the stevia in the fruit blend (I like stevia but was making it for a group of people who aren't too keen on it) and then in the topping I used half maple sugar and half coconut sugar instead of the brown sugar. I don't know what your specific issues with sugar are but for me it makes me really ill, yet these natural sweeteners (coconut, maple sugar etc) don't have that effect as they are low glycemic. I hope that helps!

This recipe looks amazing! How many cups of nunaturals more fiber baking stevia would be equivalent to the amount in this recipe?

I really need to find myself some of the Ideal Brown Sugar! All the "healthy" crisp recipes I've seen are still high in sugar. :( But this is perfect! Thanks!
