The past week went so quick, I barely remember what happened~ I guess that’s what happens when you work full-time, (and work the weekend)! This was my first week off-orientation..And it was very scary at first…But I am also loving the feeling of walking in the room and being able to say, ‘Hi, my name is Katie, and I’m your nurse for tonight!’ :)
God is sooo good, and I have so many praise reports when I finish work every night! He has given me so much favor with every one I work with, and even my patients! I find it interesting how the nurse before me will ‘warn’ me that a patient was ‘difficult’, and when I go in the room with a smile, (and show them compassion), they are suddenly sweet as a pea! :)
People are hungry for God’s love, and when we allow His love to flow through us, people are often drawn to us, and suddenly become receptive, even when they previously were closed off! For this very reason, it has become my daily goal to get ‘myself’ off my mind, so i’m able to reach others with His compassion and love!
I pray you will all come to know His Great Love, because He truly loves each and every one of you!!!
Now on to the Daily Dish!
On my day off this past week, I started the day with none-other than my “Milkshake“ for breakfast! It’s so rich and creamy…It’s always a great way to start a warm summer day! :)

For lunch I had a Chocolate Waffle! This is a Newly-Created Recipe that I will be posting soon! :)

For a mid-day snack, I was in the baking mood and made some ‘Skinny’ Peanut Butter Cookies! They were soft-moist-delicious and had only 50 calories a cookie ! (Another new recipe I will be posting soon!)

I had some Carba-Nada Alfredo with Sweet Peas and Spinach for dinner, it was delicious and filling!

For dessert I made some Homemade Chocolate Protein Ice Cream! Yummmm!
I subbed cocoa powder for the PB, and chocolate soy milk for regular…It was the perfect treat after the Alfredo, since I usually crave a sweet-cold treat after a warm-salty meal! :)

I pray you all experience God’s favor and Love as you go about this week! I know I sure will need it as I work another 6 day work week! :)

Hey Lexi, Sorry I forgot to answer your question about the blender. I do love my Kitchen Aid. Before I got married, when living at home, we seriously tried soooo many blenders. It would last us max 2 months before it broke. So finally, we invested and got the Kitchen Aid. We’ve had that one for over 2 years- no problems. So when I got married, I of course got the same one. I have had a couple problems, but they give you a one year warranty, no questions asked. And so when they have sent me a replacement, the warranty starts over. So that is a good deal. However, I have kept my eye on the Vita Mix, but that is quite the investment! I did hint to my hubby about our one year though . But yes…. invest in the Kitchen Aid. I have had a magic bullet. My only complaint… it makes such small shakes. I like drinking more :)

God is totally speaking to me as well about taking my eyes of myself and contentment. He’s been bringing this one up over and over again:
Philippians 4:11-13
11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
I noticed that Paul is content because He knows He can do all things through Christ, that Christ gives him everything He needs… therefore He doesn’t need to be discontent (thinking he needs more money, or friends etc) because he is already assured that He has everything he needs to make it through everything.
This is one long comment from a very infrequent comment-er, but I thought I’d pass along the encouragement I received :)

Wow so true about manifesting God’s glory to the world- people are thirsting for a simple gesture just to show them someone does care. Way to make a difference! Your foods look EXCELLENT and oh goodness the chocolate waffle, that’ll last about 5 minutes in our house :)
