This week was jam-packed full of amazing news-and-events!!! It started off with an interview, (yes interview)…Even though I JUST started a job about 5 months ago, I got offered an interview for the most amazing nursing job that I simply couldn’t turn down! The interview was for a Labor and Delivery RN position… Which (in my opinion) is such an amazing field of nursing because you literally get to experience a miracle every day at work!
A few days later I was offered (and accepted) the job, which was followed by me quitting my current job, which was tough because I know the staff invested a lot into me, and now i’m leaving! Not to mention I love all of the staff at my current job! However, they totally understood that it was an amazing opportunity being offered to me, so they were all excited for me, which is always a great way to leave a job if you have too!
This Friday was super busy as well as I orchestrated and prepped the menu for my friends bridal shower (who’s wedding I will be standing up in on December 11th!) We did a soup/salad/pie theme with hot cider in-a-jar for favors…And I must say everything turned out AMAZING!!!
Yesterday (Saturday) was my friends Bridal Shower at 1pm, so I started the day off with an early BodyPump workout came home to have a quick shake for breakfast!
This picture was actually sent to me by a reader, Laura Wendling, who is an AMAZING photographer, who happened to make my Pumpkin Pie Milkshake, and snapped a georgeous photo, and sent it on over to me! I thought i’d share her lovely talent with you all! To see more of her work head on over to her site here:
http://www.lwphotographics.com/ Thanks Laura!!! It looks like the shake turned out delicious!

I then got to shrink-wrapping my gift, which was full of fun-baking tools and a personalized ornament! Her wedding is in December, and she LOVES Christmas, so I thought i’d do a Christmas theme!

I grabbed the three dishes that I made the night before, which were my healthy Pumpkin Pie…

And my White Bean Chicken Chili! All Three were completely gone in about 15 minutes, and when I left with dishes that were scraped-clean…I knew they were a hit! :)

The food table was filled with delicious home-made breads, soups, and salads!

The dessert table was AMAZING to say the least! :)

It was all to celebrate this lovely lady!!! My Beautiful Friend and Bride-To-Be Dayna!

The other bridesmaids are amazing women as well! I feel truly blessed to stand up with such an amazing group of women (who all love the Lord!) :)

We also had the joy of the weather being amazing! 70 degrees in Michigan in October!!

Oh~ I also got some new business cards that My Hubby made me! :) That way when people ask me about my recipes, and/or I spark up a convo about healthy living…I can give them my card! Yeah! :)

So…Even though this week was jam-packed, I must say that every bit was just as amazing as it was busy!!!
In addition, to everything else, I learned an important lesson about putting God first in my day (before the hustle and bustle starts!) Otherwise I tend to act out of stress and make quick-decisions without seeking Him first~ (never good!) So it’s truly my goal to Seek FIRST the Kingdom of God every day…After all, it’s only because of Him that we live, breathe, and have our being! :)
*I updated my “My Story” link if you would like to read about my personal testimony!

Congrats on the new job! Your dishes look fab, but I couldn’t help but notice there isn’t a link to the recipe for your healthy pumpkin pie ;) Will you be sharing this amazing dish with us soon? I sure hope so….I have a weakness for pumpkin pie. :)
