In a large bowl with an electric mixer, mix cream cheese, seasonings, 1/2 cup cheddar, 1/2 cup bacon bits, and green onions if using.
Form mixture into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least one hour, or until mixture is firm enough to handle.
Combine the remaining bacon, pecans, and fresh parsley in a shallow dish or pie plate. Roll the cheese ball in the bacon/nut mixture until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with whole grain crackers, baked pita chips, or veggies!
