Add all of the ingredients to the crockpot. Cover and cook on low 6-9 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours. Stir just before serving to blend everything together. Enjoy with cinnamon, low sugar syrup, and nuts if you desire!
Note: Leftovers stay good in the fridge for up to 7 days!
|2 medium||Apples (whatever type you prefer), peeled and diced|
|1 cup||Old fashioned oats |
|1/2 cup||Protein powder (or additional 1/2 cup oats)|
|1/2 tsp||Apple pie spice (or pumpkin pie spice)|
|1/2 cup||Unsweetened applesauce|
|3 cups||Unsweetened almond milk (or low fat milk)|
|2 tbs||Low sugar maple syrup (or honey)|
|1/4-1/2 cup||Sweetener of choice (or to taste)|
 Use gluten free overnight oats if sensitive. Steel cut oats may also work, although I haven't tried.
