Turkey Apple & Swiss Quesadilla

Here's the Dish

Loaded with the perfect combination of sweet and salty flavors, this quesadilla is sure to be popular with the whole family! It’s a quick and easy meal to prepare on a busy weeknight that can be made with leftovers shredded turkey or chicken or deli meat!

The estimated total time to make this recipe is 5-10 minutes.

Warm a medium skillet over medium heat, and spray with non-stick cooking spray.

Place everything on ½ of the tortilla, fold in tortilla in half, and place on warmed skillet. When one side of the tortilla starts to brown, (about 1-2 minutes), flip and cook on other side until other side begins to brown and cheese melts (about 1-2 minutes).  Remove from heat.

Cut tortilla into three wedges and serve warm with additional cranberry sauce or raspberry jelly if desired!

1Low carb/ high fiber wrap or tortilla 1
1/4 cup (2 oz)Shredded turkey (or turkey deli meat or shredded chicken)
2Ultra thin swiss cheese slices or ¼ cup mozzarella or low fat cheese of choice
1/2Small green apple, sliced very thin (or apple of choice)
2 tbsCranberry sauce or low sugar raspberry jelly

1 I like La Tortilla wraps. They are high in fiber and protein, and low in carbs and calories!

This is an excellent combo that I would have never thought of myself! Had this for dinner tonight – only modifications were I used a pita pocket that I butterflied, and I added some spinach. It was SO good! Thanks again for another hit!
