Thank you so much for all of your help over the past month! I have really enjoyed this time during the program and I feel that the changes I have made will stay with me longterm.
My body is reacting positively to the changes and my food preferences have changed so much. I find myself so much more satisfied with healthy food choices and the food that I used to eat and crave have lost their appeal and satisfaction.
I realize that this is an ongoing change that I need to work to maintain and thankfully, after this past month, I still have the motivation (and now the foothold) to do that. I'm seeing positive changes in my body and I have so much more confidence. I am happy to report that I have lost about 7lbs over the past month of being on the program and I have been thrilled to see such great results from simply making better choices.
I have always had the desire to lose weight "the healthy way"....and I feel that with the knowledge I have gained, I am much more equipped to be successful and make better choices. I feel like something clicked for me over the past month. It's almost like for the first time I'm realizing the impact that fiber and protein have on my body and I'm recognizing the need for it. That only took 31 years for me to figure out! ;)
I have been thrilled with the program and I am so thankful for everything that you do to maintain it and make it accessible. I look forward to being a continued Dashing Dish member and again I just want to thank you for everything you have done.
I had completed the health coaching program as a way to learn about a healthy lifestyle and stay motivated. I was so excited to see the launch of bridal bootcamp, as I had a wedding 6 months away. I can't say enough positive things about the bridal bootcamp. Planning a wedding can be a stressful time, but the bridal bootcamp helped me get myself physically and emotionally ready for the big day. I lost 11 pounds simply by changing my healthy lifestyle and utilizing Dashing Dish resources. I was 146 pounds and reached my goal weight (literally on my wedding morning!) of 135 pounds.
Dashing Dish has inspired to make positive, life changing choices that is molding the temple God has blessed me with into one that is pleasing and honorable to Him.
I signed up for the Health Coaching program with Katie two years ago. The plan is flexible, yet gives the guidance needed to get on the right track. The program, not only guided me in a new direction with eating and exercise, but also in my spiritual journey. By following the plan, I was able to see positive changes in physical, spiritual and emotional wellness.
This past year has been a difficult one emotionally and I found myself falling back into previous habits that, unfortunately, caused me to totally lose focus. I was able to share my struggles with Katie and she reached out to me with encouraging, God inspired wisdom that gave me the nudge I needed to pick myself back up.
This journey we’re all on is a race to freedom. A race that is ran with strength and endurance with the Lord being our biggest fan. True freedom is found in total surrender to Him and when we are healthy, we are able to serve Him with all of our heart, soul and mind.
I’m so thankful that I learned about Dashing Dish just when I needed it most. God has definitely used Katie to inspire and teach others that are struggling in areas that she, herself, has also experienced. Not only have I lost physical weight, but the benefits of growing and seeking the Lord first has led me to a deeper, stronger relationship with Him.
Everyday I’m given the choice to do the right thing and run the race set before me. I’m so blessed to have the Lord and Dashing Dish to guide and encourage me along the way!
Dashing Dish health coaching is so much more than a handy little menu plan with a weekly shopping list. The support, encouragement and understanding I received from Katie was truly priceless.
Katie helped me rediscover the tools I needed to learn to trust again, to break free from my obsessive calorie counting and exercise and to let go of the need to feel like I had to be perfect (because there is no way I can be perfect, not even close – after all we are only made perfect in Christ right? He is the only one that’s prefect). Me, I am a work in progress just giving and doing my best each and every single day because, at the end of the day that’s all that we can do.
Through her daily devotionals, handy video’s and weekly check in’s, Katie helped me refocus on the things that truly are important. To take time out to rest and reflect and give my body (and soul) the nourishment that it truly needs (and deserves) and I can not recommend this experience highly enough.
Ps – the weekly meal plans are not only delicious, they are quick and easy to prepare. The recipes themselves are simple, straight forward and easy to follow and I assure you the food is nothing short of amazing!
Katie, it has been wonderful to have ‘met’ you also! Thank you so very much for having health coaching as an option on your website! I can honestly say it has gotten a lot easier to stay on track and I don’t crave sweets nearly as much as I use to. Whenever I crave something not so healthy I look on your website to find a healthy alternative recipe, or munch on something healthy. You have truly changed my life and I will continue with this healthy lifestyle as long as I live. The daily devotional was also a huge huge help! It taught me many things! I can go to God at any time and he will listen to me. I always knew that God would listen to me, but it is nice to be reminded that God is always here and he will answer our prayers. God indeed is certainly good! Again, thank you so so much for everything that you do! YOU have been such a blessing in my life! I will e-mail you before and after photos once I reach my goal weight. Healthy Coaching with Katie was the first avenue that God used in my life to bring me to place of greater freedom! Just prior to finding Katie at Dashing Dish I had a five year battle that left me with an extremely unhealthy relationship to food and exercise. I was frustrated and upset at how much I still thought about food, and I set up many, many of my own “safe foods” and “unsafe foods” that were based nothing on health and nutrition, but rather my own miscued perception of what foods would make me “fat” and so forth. I never ate what I served my husband and two daughters, who were, at the time, 1 and 3, and I knew I never wanted them to remember this struggle in my life. That’s where God continued my deliverance process through Katie!!! The meal plan she provided broke me from my safety net of “safe foods”, and, once more I was enjoying the meals I prepared for my family WITH my family. Kaite’s recipes were ones that both my husband and daughters enjoyed and still continue to enjoy! It took away so much of the anxiety out of my relationship to food. The meal plan truly enabled me to let go of the control reigns of my life over food. She coached me through these issues by asking me tough questions and constantly pointing me to Christ, which leads me to the devotional that was included with the meal plan. Nothing frees you more than Christ’s declaration, “It is finished” and “There is now no condemnation in Christ Jesus!”. Nothing could be added to my salvation. Christ had eaten perfectly for me, and I was now free to walk in that joy. These were the truths she pointed me to. I also grew to enjoy lifting with Katie’s workout program! Previously I had been all about cardio. And again, she helped me create balance to that area of my life as well! The fears of gaining weight and bingeing on foods that I had so long deprived myself of (now that I was eating those foods again), never were realized as Katie’s meal plan brought me to a place of health that I had not experienced for years. I praise God for Dashing Dish and the lovely woman behind it. She has blessed me beyond the words I have written. Of course, there are moments and days of discouragement and seeming setbacks, but, as Katie showed me time and again, where there is Christ, there is freedom; freedom from condemnation, freedom from fear, and freedom to live joyously!
Just wanted to say that I love your website! I have struggled with starving and binging my whole life, trying to erase the damage with constant exercise, and getting to the point where I was afraid of food. Meaning, I was afraid to eat or cook anything that I truly enjoyed because I was afraid of liking it too much and overeating. Now I am tying to learn how to make the things I love in a healthy way, not depriving myself, and eating healthy portions.
Your recipes are great, in that they aren’t just “low fat” with a ton of other unhealthy ingredients, or “low sugar” but very high fat. The recipes are healthy and full of protein. Being that I am a regular in the gym and focus highly on weight training, getting plenty of nutrients in my meals is really important. This site provides super yummy ways to do that!
I know it was awhile ago that I participated in your Health Coaching and I’m sure you might not remember me, but I have deep gratitude for what you helped me with and I just wanted to drop you a note to say THANK YOU again! I still look back at what you helped teach me and it has deeply impacted my life.
I also wanted to extend my thanks to you and your sister for a particular post I stumbled upon on your blog a few years ago – this one called “The Desires of Your Heart” about finding the love God created for you. Your sister’s story is absolutely beautiful and resonates with me so much. I literally read it over and over all the time when I need a little reassurance in my life. At 25, many of my friends are beginning to get married or settle down into serious relationships and I feel a times a little anxious. I worry why I haven’t met my great love yet and if I ever will. It’s easy to want to shy away from God’s plan and try to figure things out yourself, but in fact that does more harm than good. So THANK YOU from the depths of my heart :) It’s amazing how someone you have never met can have such a profound impact on your life.
Thank you so much for your coaching over the past eight weeks! I benefited greatly from your website, the meal plans and especially your God-centered perspective. These eight weeks have been filled with reflection, healing and grace. I am grateful to be headed in the right direction in freedom with what I have learned and with Christ!
Hey Katie! This is Aubrey Fogle from way back in 2012. I was so blessed to be apart of your coaching then! It was the first time my fear of so many foods began to be dealt with. I signed up with you when I was only a few months freed from bulimia. God blessed me beyond words in providing me with you at that time. I just wanted to share with you my blog that the Lord has allowed me to start writing at. I am now sharing the story He gave me with others. I so, so long to bless others as you have me. All that to say, we both want to love and serve Jesus through this blog, much like I see you and your husband! You are so very much role-models!!! Thank you, again, Katie, for being His instrument and loving me in that time. I just think of you as the one who the Lord first brought me to, as soon as He delivered me from the darkness I write about in the blog!
